About the project

Casa VG is a residential project built in 2024 by architect Eduardo Leñero in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo. The house follows a direct, raw and unpretentious architecture, designed strictly to perform in coastal climate conditions with minimal maintenance.

Materials and Structure

The design embraces honesty of materials and an almost industrial character. The entire structure, including all walls and ceilings inside and out, is finished in polished cement. This decision not only defines the sober visual identity of the facade but also ensures complete resistance to humidity and the natural wear of the tropical environment.

Interior Spaces and Climate

Inside, the visual rigidity of the polished cement walls and ceilings is balanced by marble floors throughout, bringing a clean, cool feel underfoot. The design removes unnecessary partitions, creating open social areas where natural light flows freely. The orientation of the house and the placement of the windows are calculated to force constant cross ventilation, passively cooling the spaces and drastically reducing reliance on air conditioning.
